Hello to old friends and New,
WE haven't added a blog in some time now and so now is the time to post the original founders to let them know that we appreciate their support and the interest they have shown in the Presidential Pet Museum. @005 was a slow and disappointing year for us, mostly because I was undergoing chemotherapy which curtailed many of our activities, but we are up and running again and actively soliciting funds. We are also looking for the photos of the life size Bronze, Richard Chashoudian is putting the finishing touches on. These will be sent to Mrs. Bush for approval and then cast at the famous Indian foundry Rick uses. Our big job will be finding the right company that will help us promote it.
It is also time to post the names of the original founders. Many have given for a second and third year and they are "active Founders." You will find the list following this blog. We are now also in a fund raising mode for finding Corporate Sponsors who will link to our website and donate for the advertising space. We were disappointed that Petsmart decided not to become involved in our re-location efforts, but we are still talking to a few other corporation sponsors and hope to have some promising results.
