FROM THE PRESIDENT:
Since the move to 51 Maryland Avenue in Annapolis, Maryland and the unveiling of the fabulous Barney Bush Bronze, I have been busy running the Museum and gift shop, not only have meetings not happened, but I am a newsletter or two behind. Time, age and health are catching up with me as I had not been able to find someone to carry on the project until these last months. I am now absolutely thrilled to announce that the Presidential Pet Museum has found a new home and will go on to bigger and better things.
The Presidential Pet Museum on October 14th, 2007 moved to Williamsburg, Virginia to become a part of the Presidents Park.

Presidents Park is an attraction for all people to enjoy learning about the history of the Nation and in particular, each President. It features all 43 Presidents in a beautiful walking path, the Oval Office, Air Force One, replicas of several of the Inaugural Gowns worn by the First Ladies, a well stocked gift shop and exceptional eating area. Now it will also feature the Presidential Pets. The Pet Museum Collection is on loan and the gift items are for sale. Barney is in the Oval Office at present, waiting for his pedestal. I will try to contact all of our loyal founders and supporter, to again help out the Museum by contributing to the purchase of a Pedestal on which Barney will sit. This will also include the names of the founders as promised.
This newsletter will be short as we are still running the store on Maryland Avenue. The lease is up on Dec. 31. We are featuring over 40 original acrylic Presidential Pet Paintings by Claire McLean which tells the story of the Presidents and their White House companions and are for sale. After the first of the year, these will go on exhibit at the Presidents Park. We sincerely hope those of you in the area will drop by and see this exhibit and support us once again.
Attached are a couple of pictures of the park, hopefully they reproduce well and you will keep it in mind to visit when you are in Williamsburg. All Founders will be getting a free pass. We want to take a moment also to thank Joan Luton, Christie Applequist and Chip McLean for helping with the store, but most of all Mr. Haley Newman of Presidents Park for making it possible to join his operation. The Presidential Pet Museum finally has a real home. Not exactly as I had envisioned, but being part of this fabulous theme park is where it belongs. You can be proud to have been a part of it and to have kept my dream alive and you can continue to be a sponsor and benefactor by sending your donation to me for the development and creation of the exhibits and displays there, and the promotion of the Park. I still plan to keep as many of you that want aware of its progress but e mail me if you wish your email to be deleted. Please feel free to drop by Maryland Avenue to give me a call. Yes, I miss the doggies, but the museum has been a great challenge and a lot of fun too. Don’t forget to visit our website: www.presidentialpetmuseum.com.
